About me

My background is in Biochemistry and I am doing a PhD in Cell Biology at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology of Coimbra. The goal of my work is to study mitochondrial dysfunction associated with Huntington’s disease. I am particularly interested in studying the alteration in mitochondrial proteins during the disease and the protective effect of neurotrophic factors. This part of the work took me to Uncle Sam Land where I will be during the next moths.

When I am not in the lab, I like to go to the swimming pool, taste the world cuisine, take pictures and palaver with my friends.
